Yesterday, we had the first look into the brand new DOTA 2 trailer.

As announced, The International DOTA 2 Championships will begin at 10:00 (+2GMT) today August 17th 2011.

I live in Melbourne, Australia which is +10GMT, which means the live video stream will start at exactly 6pm Melbourne time – right after I finish work. It couldn’t get any better!

But you’re obviously not here to learn about the DOTA 2 tournament format, rules & regulations. You are here because you want yourself a Beta key!

Unfortunately, AdamTam.com is not in any way affiliated with DOTA 2, Valve or Steam. But I will guide you in the right direction on how to stand a chance to claim yourself a DOTA 2 beta key.

Step 1

Go to www.dota2.com and click on

Step 2

If you don’t have a steam account, you have to create a new steam account to obtain a BETA key.

Step 3

When you have a steam account, log in to your steam account via the link on www.dota2.com

Step 4

Once your steam login details are entered, click the ‘Get on the list’ button. You will see the image below.

A Valve/Steam/Dota 2 member will contact you via email (presumably after the championships are over) to let you know if you’ve been selected for the upcoming DOTA 2 BETA.

Be patient young one. The best things in life are worth waiting for!
